Hi! I’m Emily Janson, a certified lactation counselor (CLC), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a mom of three and a former early childhood educator. I am passionate about supporting your family through evidence-based techniques and education with a warm and gentle approach catered to you and your specific goals.I understand from a deeply personal place that breast/chest feeding our babies doesn't always come "naturally". I was fortunate enough to have what many would consider a "successful" feeding journey with my first--mostly because she was gaining well. I understand now there were challenges there that could have been remedied with the right support. After the birth of my second baby, I never anticipated that breastfeeding would be the challenge it was for me. I felt overwhelmed, worried and isolated in navigating breastfeeding. The more I learned about our personal challenges, I quickly realized how hungry I was to learn as much as I could about supporting families in these tender and vulnerable seasons. My goal is to help you feel confident and empowered in your choices and the plans we create together and to cheer you on & celebrate you every step of your journey.I am currently providing in-home and virtual lactation consulting and related maternal–infant support services in greater Denver metro area.
